The sailing area
The beautiful peninsula Halkidiki in Greece is still an insider tip. The peninsula with its three “fingers” Kassandra, Sithonia and Athos and its approx. 550 km long coast, offers ideal weather conditions for sailing in a fairly unexplored sailing area.
Pleasant temperatures, ideal weather conditions for sailing, beautiful golden beaches, secluded coves, crystal clear waters and picturesque fishing ports.
The daily distances in Halkidiki are quite short, as there are numerous small bays in which we find an anchorage for a swim stop. The port of departure and the port of arrival are different. That means we discover and see something new every day! The wind speeds meet the demands of experienced sailors and are suitable for families and beginners. Days spent in a harbour, due to strong winds, are almost impossible in this sailing area and very rare in the summer months.
Our team plans the perfect route for you and is happy to adapt it to your wishes. You don’t need any special sailing experience. Every participant will be instructed in sailing and will take over certain tasks. We take care of everything. You sail without risk. Your safety is our top priority.
Eight days of sailing, swimming, snorkelling, fishing, culture, excitement, relaxation and lots of special experiences. If you like we can also visit the quaint fishing villages and insider tip taverns and enjoy Mediterranean Greek specialities.
Suitable for:
Small groups up to max. 8 persons (friends, families, company trips etc.). On request, flotillas (several sailing yachts) can be organised for several groups.
Since we depend on the weather conditions, changes in the program are possible.
Our sailing yachts
Our sailing yachts are serviced annually. They are legally approved as commercial charter vessels. They are fully equipped in terms of navigation and safety and offer good comfort for a pleasant stay on board.
Our skippers
Our skippers are recognized and experienced sailors who know the Aegean Sea very well. They have a great passion for the sea and most of them have been sailing since childhood. Two of our skippers have become Panhellenic champions with their boats in recent years.
Your safety is our top priority! We inform you daily about the planned route and the current weather conditions. Your skippers will recommend you the best bays and beaches and you decide where we sail!
They will not only discover with you the most beautiful coasts and lonely bays, but they will also involve you in sailing the yacht. You will soon be able to sail the boat alone under the supervision of the skipper.
Wind/Weather and Climate in Peninsula Halkdiki
The prevailing wind direction is east-north-east. The autumn winds increase from September, which is ideal for sailing and surfing. The average water temperature is 18°C in May and 25°C in August. From October the water becomes cooler but the temperature is still 20°C. Also in October there are still 6 hours of sunshine on average. As known from Rhodes, Crete and the Cyclades, the Meltemi (wind coming from the north) also influences the weather on Halkidik in summer/autumn. The sailing experience in the sheltered bays is usually not significantly influenced by this.
